![]() GM offered me to pay one of my monthy payments I don’t think so I have met one of the lemon law(state of Wisconsin and GM’s) qualifications and almost the other I have had the vehicle for 6 months and half of which it has been in the shop GM will buy back this lemon I am suing them for the car now and my lawyer fees. the rotor repair the first time took three weeks 2 days I have now had it in the shop over 3 months and 3 times for one little thing called the transmission or engine slipping. ![]() I took it back in two days ago and well they told me that all four rims were bent and that I had to have gotten into an accident well I have never gotten into an accident with any car and so I said no they pulled a carfax report and what do you know I hadn’t. So they offered to replace them well to this day I am and it has increased by getting worse am still having a problem when over 70 I think the bolts will fall out. We will grind them because that is all GM will authorize I told them they could have to car back and I should have at that point but I bought a car because I needed one. I took it in and they said the front hub assembly was bad so they would replace it oh no we made a mistake al the roters are bad. I bought a brand new 2005 chevy aveo at the end of October 2005 as I was driving it home I felt a shake well it was a Saturday so I called right away they told me to bring it in on Monday. Not like the old (1960 and 70s) stuff that you could just keep patching. We are happy with this little car, more so when it's time to fill the tank.įor what it's worth, I don't think any of these new vehicles will be on the road after say 15 years, it will be too darn expensive to chase down wiring problems. Cars are machines and all machines need bugs worked out, hell look at all the Windows updates. Has anyone else noticed this?Īll in all, for a new model car, it's not to bad. There is a coil mounted to the key cylinder under the cover that is heating up. Another problem I noticed and am more concerned about is after a 10-20 minute drive, after stopping and removing the key, the blade of the key is EXTREMELY HOT. Since it is under warranty I haven't really dug too deep yet, it is in the shop today so we will see what is found. My wife has also noticed the clock resetting after start up. I am a licensed auto mechanic or tech if you will. I think it is a computer glitch somehow.Hello, we just bought an aveo in the last month as well. Just GOOGLE IT!!! many, many people have this weird problem. Yet no one can find what’s wrong! I am fed up with GM, even contacted national folks they claim they know NOTHING of this type of problem/complain. it is better but happened again today- dangerous. I had the OnStar system cut off (remotely, not sure it is really totally off but phone is s) and thought that had solved the problem. They replaced the battery and did a bunch of other bull… still having power but I did find out that when I used my OnStar phone, that seemed to trigger an episode. WORST PIECE OF JUNK EVER!! The battery light was coming on last fall… had batter checked it was supposedly fine… then the car was lurching and losing power non-stop… took it back and theylooked at battery and – get this – found it “weirdly swollen”. My car is an Aveo 2009 with only 37,000 miles, bought new. If I drive somewhere with no incident of intermittent power loss, the clock keeps good time. I have been able to document that when this happens, afterwards, the clock will have gone nuts… for no reason spinning forward or backwards. I spent $1500 last fall – bull… didn’t fix it but the car will run fine for a while and sudden lose power, lurch. I have the EXACT same problem that Chandler Robertson reported. It happened again on the way home from work. I managed to pull over, turn off the car and it acted fine. engine still running but now power when I press on the gas. Yesterday, I was in 5th gear and I lost all power. ![]() So the light as been going on one day and off others…I just ignored it… ![]() The third time, again they said they can’t find anything wrong. 10 minutes after I got the car back the light came back on. the second time they said it was the sparkplugs and they charged me to replace them. took it to Autozone and they have said two different times said there is a something wrong in the fuel sensor ? took it to the Chevy dealer 3 time, Once they keep it for 3 days and said they couldn’t get the engine light to come on… ei. Sometimes on hot days sometimes on cold days. Then the engine light is on one day then off the next. First off the clock goes on and off randomly and doesn’t keep time. My 2008 chevy aveo has electrical problems, I think, sense I purchased it.
